Sunday in Livingstone

Today is Sunday in Livingstone and I am writing this while those of you reading it are still in bed. I could not get any pictures ready to send yesterday so today will be some pictures only. Let’s begin:

Here is the obligatory picture of me with the Falls in the background.

Me at Falls

To appreciate the power of the Falls, here is a video clip for you. This is a challenge to send from Zambia but I think I’ve figured out how to send you at least a few seconds of what it is like.

The water cascades down a cliff that is not too far from another cliff on which we are walking. The one we can walk on is like a knife’s edge of rock that has another canyon on the opposite side of the falls, hence the name. Here is a picture of the foot bridge that leaves you soaked to the skin by the time you’ve crossed it.

Knife Edge Bridge

To get some perspective on the bridge, here is a shot from below as we went down to the “Boiling Pot” which is where the water pools after coming over the falls.

From Below

Here is a picture of the boiling pot.

And here is another picture of the Knife Edge Bridge so you can see where we were.

Bridge from Distance

This is a brief report but it will take quite a while to send. Pictures and videos take up a lot of bytes so we’ll see if all this makes it through.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Bill
